Workshop – Finding the Art in Grant Writing and Becoming a Grant-Funded Scholar (Prof. Jared R. Rawlings, Associate Professor, Music Education Area Head)

Increasingly, early career arts researchers and practitioners are expected to secure grant funding for their scholarship. The funding landscape is quite competitive and can be challenging to navigate. Without specific training from a mentor, it can be difficult to understand the numerous funding agencies and their diverse components. In an effort to uncover nuances about grant writing in the arts, this workshop provides a basic introduction to locating funding opportunities and grant writing.
