Workshop – Collecting Social Media Content for Qualitative Research (Dr. Sean Lawson, Department of Communication)

In his presentation, Prof. Lawson will cover some of the tools and techniques that academic researchers might borrow from the world of open source intelligence (OSINT) for finding and collecting digital data online for use in qualitative research. He will introduce a mix of both free and paid tools for helping researchers to locate, collect, and archive information from blogs, social media, and discussion forums.
