POSTPONED – Question: What can Indigenous Technology (IT) and Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) involving Pacific Islander Seafaring capabilities/relationalities and computer engineered interactive, visual, and immersive technologies do with and for each other when they are purposefully juxtaposed and deliberately designed to advance indigenous, social, environmental justice and new forms of research, scholarship, and engaged knowledge production? Answer: Model and simulate the mutual and innovative advancement of all of the above.

This presentation is a collaboration between the Department of American Indian Studies’ Native Canoe Program and the Interactive Visualization Lab  http://ivlab.cs.umn.edu/ at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, funded in part by a University of Minnesota Grand Challenge Research Initiative Grant.
